UPCOE and UPERDFI thank Ed Manrique, a BS Industrial Engineering graduate based in the US, for sponsoring the JOSE EDGAR MANRIQUE PROFESSORIAL CHAIR IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING effective AY 2018-19. This is the sixth Chair established in 2018. Our Ohio-based member Mac de los Reyes encouraged Ed to sponsor the chair.

The Chair is awarded this 2018 to Asst. Prof. Benette P. Custodio for her research entitled “Association of Individual Risk Factors and Workplace Factors to Self-Reported Body Discomfort of Filipino Small-Scale Gold Miners”.
