ED Tito Aliga explains the status of Chairs to the CEB, with President Rico at the back.

Dean Ferdie Manegdeg presided over the College Executive Board Meeting on November 29, 2019 at the Maynilad Room. At the invitation of the dean, UPERDFI President Rico Trinidad and ED Tito Aliga discussed programs that support the UPCOE. Dean Ferdie cited that 35 new chairs are needed to achieve his goal of having one chair each for the 199 eligible Engg Faculty (out of a total 270) for AY 2020-21.

Chairs with expired commitments and underfunded or with exhausted fund balances, numbering about 45, need to be renegotiated for renewal with the donors.

Other key topics discussed were the SWELL Program, with Dean Ferdie citing the need for a 24/7 Space in each building, and the urgency of increasing the staff complement for counselling and guidance.
