A major producer of aggregate products, MECVI set up a fund for DMMME student projects in AY 2020-21, as part of the company’s Annual Environmental Protection and Enhancement Program (AEPEP). The realm of studies will focus on silt, the waste product of MECVI’s quarrying operations in Rodriguez, Rizal and Calbayog, Western Samar.
With MECVI President Enrico Ducut, Mining Engineer Serg Nicolf Arinto, BSEM ’19, organized the grant arrangement with DMMME professors Dr. Eligia Clemente and Francesca Cabanlig, who will be the faculty advisers.
