On November 5, the Department of Geodetic Engineering hosted its annual alumni homecoming, highlighting its 85th anniversary and the 58th anniversary of the Training Center for Applied Geodesy and Photogrammetry (TCAGP) at the Melchor Hall Lobby. Hosted by DGE Chairman Dr. Jak Sarmiento and the UP Geomatics Alumni Association, the event included congratulatory remarks by Dean Tonette Tanchuling and Prof. Epifanio Lopez, longtime DGE Chairman until he was appointed Chairman of the PRC Board of Examiners for Geodetic Engineering in 2008. 
 
The first GE graduates (Class 1939) included UPERDFI members FF Cruz and Dom Ilio. Active UPERDFI members are GE alumni Ver Santos, Raymund Alberto, GP Equipaje, Cristy Tambo and Trustee Eric Paringit.
