In a virtual meeting held on December 9 with UPCOE AD Kate Tungpalan and UPERDFI ED Tito Aliga, Sigrid Shun of MetroPacific Tollways, who is in charge of MPTC’s University Relations, cited the expanded benefits to MPTC Scholars. This will include allowances for graduated scholars to take the Licensure Board Exams, and a cash award of P50,000 for a topnotcher, and P20,000 for Top Tenners. Also, there will be no limit to the slots available, as the need for transportation engineers is great
MPTC had been sponsoring scholars since 2017-18, up to a maximum of five at any one time; usually those in their last 3 years of academics.
