We congratulate our member Dr. Lisa Grace S. Bersales for her appointment as Professor Emeritus of the University of the Philippines! This was announced during the Board of Regents meeting on April 3, 2023.
Dr. Bersales is the incumbent Executive Director of the Commission on Population Development (POPCOM), an office attached to the NEDA. She served as the first National Statistician (Director General) of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) from 2016 to 2020. In 2021, she was appointed Vice President for Planning and Finance of the University of the Philippines, and as ex-officio Trustee of UPERDFI. Prior to PSA, she served as the Dean of the UP School of Statistics.
