UPERDFI Trustees and Advisers joined the UP Engineering Community in honoring the life of Engr. Filemon “Jun” T. Berba, Jr. on April 22, 2023 at the Melchor Hall lobby. The PARANGAL was organized by the UP College of Engineering and the Beta Epsilon Fraternity. Speaking for UPCOE Dean Tonette Tanchuling was former Dean Aura Matias; and former Dean Gev Guevara, UPAE President Joey Gomez and UPERDFI President Chicho Mantaring recounted the invaluable contributions of Jun to UP Engineering, to UP and to the country as a corporate executive.
Brother Betans who shared included UPERDFI members Lito Manahan, Rod Salazar, Tony Ostrea, Dennis Quinto, Sid Consunji, Ed Paynor, Ojie Alzona and Tito Aliga.
A BSEE mcl 1959 graduate and EE Board Topnotcher Jun, became a member of UPERDFI in 1979 and was a Trustee from 1983 to 1984 and 2011 to 2016, and later on as a member of the Council of Advisers.
His sons, Lenard (ME), Caucus (EE) and Gilbert (Arch) gave the responses for the family.
