The Distinguished Practitioner Lecture on Surfing the Waves of Constant Change and Disruption featuring our member and Microsoft’s Principal Program Manager Jennifer Lynn Cua’s experiences (originally scheduled in March 2020 but was canceled due to the pandemic). This was organized by the UPD Department of Computer Science, UPD Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute and UPERDFI, held on March 12, 2024 at the Accenture Hall, UPAE Centennial Library and via zoom.

Jenn’s presentation centered around the five lessons and pitfalls to avoid in decision-making. She was not able to come due to illness, so the discussion was shared by UPERDFI Executive Director Tito Aliga, with inputs from UP DCS Professors Justine Villar and Leah Figueroa with the 90 students and guests in attendance. UPCOE Associate Dean for Student Affairs Kate Tungpalan, DCS Professor Susan Festin, UPERDFI Member Felipe Santiago and Deputy ED Norika Ishikawa also joined the event.

UPERDFI, UPCOE, DCS and EEEI extend their heartfelt gratitude to Jenn for supporting the College with a professorial chair, teaching and research award, scholarships, thesis grants and student excellence awards.
