The pandemic has forced UP to shift to remote learning, and for this, students need to be equipped with the appropriate devices with efficient connectivity. UPERDFI threw its full support to the UPCOE Laptop Donation Drive, in parallel with efforts by the UP Alumni Engineers and other alumni organizations. The unused funds from the COVID-19 campaign and new donations were used to procure 45 laptops, and another batch of laptops on the way.
The Laptop Turnover Ceremony was virtually held on September 21. The highlight of the event was the sharing of the messages of the donors, and the words of gratitude from the student recipients.
We thank our donors Francis and Leah Felizardo, Susan Romero Vidal, Rafael Nestor and Rizalina Mantaring, Daniel Reyes, Manolo and Anita Alcasabas, Julie Hudson, Connie Valentine, Vernon Aliga and the UP Engineering Community Donors for their support to the Laptop Drive.
