On April 28, Committee Chairman Chicho Mantaring and Val Reyes convened the Expert Panel to hear the presentations/pitches of eight UP projects that have been pre-assessed for potential UPERDFI support in moving them to market presence. Six of candidate eight projects (all being assisted by UPSCALE and UP TTBDO) were able to present.
This is the second stage of the new Innovation Model that was approved by the Board in its February meeting. The Expert Panel comprises UPERDFI Trustee Bong Minguez and member Alex Ibasco. The other three are Earl Valencia, former MD of IdeaSpace, Jojo Flores of Plug n’ Play, and Russel Pili of DOST Innovation Council.
