Our UP Engineering R&D Foundation overcame numerous challenges in 2020, especially the ongoing pandemic, the conditions of which prevail until now. Through the concerted efforts of our leaders, members, donors, and partners who are alumni or committed supporters of the UP College of Engineering, we have been able to achieve much.
We proudly present our 2020 Annual Report, entitled “Innovation in Motion”, which captures our constant drive to adapt and thrive, and more importantly to pursue new initiatives. Apart from sharing the year’s accomplishments, this report covers the highlights of our special projects on the COVID Response and Energy Systems Modeling, activities of the committees and task forces, financial status and the Foundation plans moving forward. We also take this opportunity to recognize and identify our generous donors and recipients of the Professorial Chair Awards funded by our donors.
We thank and acknowledge our former UPERDFI President Ferdz de la Cruz for excellently leading the Foundation amidst the pandemic; and our stalwarts Bing del Rosario, Tito Aliga and Norika Ishikawa for spearheading the preparation of our 2020 Annual Report.
