UPERDFI President Val Reyes convened the meeting with the Council of Advisers on August 11, 2021 via Zoom. In attendance were (5) Advisers Dr. Mags Albarracin, Sec. Sonny Viray, Sec. Nina Alabastro, former ERDFI chairs Emil Tumbocon and Pete Maniego and former ERDFI Trustee Sec. Jun Uriarte who came as a special invitee.
Val presented the key thrusts and objectives of the Foundation for the year 2021-2022. The Advisers shared their insights on the current plans. They asked the officers to prioritize the initiatives that may be implemented in the near-term and assign ball carriers for each to ensure that plans will materialize. Specific recommendations were offered on resource generation, membership engagement, industry/academe collaboration, innovation and specific projects such as the High Performance Computer and the Energy Systems Model.
