In a special event held at the Novotel Araneta City on June 7, MPTC signed Scholarship MOAs with 17 schools from Metro Manila, Bulacan and CALABARZON region. The group included the UP Diliman College of Engineering.
As North Luzon Expressways, MPTC started sponsoring scholars in UP Engineering in AY 2012-13. Continuously improving their scholarship program benefits to be relevant to the times, the improved MOA now includes an allowance for Licensure Board Review! The number of slots open is for a maximum of ten, open to students in all year levels.
In the absence of MPTC President Rod Franco, MPTC North President Luigi Bautista and MPTC South President Raul Ignacio (UPCE ’81) presided over the event. The attendees included school presidents and executives. UPCOE Dean Tonette Tanchuling and UPERDFI ED Tito Aliga represented UP Diliman.
Before Dean Tonette gave the Words of Appreciation to MPTC on behalf of the attendees, she and Tito presented MPTC with a copy of the UPERDFI Golden Anniversary Book.
