Dean Tonette Tanchuling led the celebration of the UPCOE’s founding with a fitting ceremony on June 13, 2024 at the jampacked Engineering Theater! DIEOR Prof. Mitchay Pacia, UP Diliman Vice Chancellor, delivered the rallying message of Chancellor Carlo Vistan.
The event was made memorable with the awarding of performance awards for faculty and achievement and service awards for staff and for custodial and security personnel. She enjoined everyone to keep up the good work, as the College pushes for advanced status as the National Institutes of Engineering!
UPERDFI President Lito Bermudo handed out the cash awards for the Faculty and Staff Awardees for 2024.
Rel Gomez, president of UP Alumni Engineers, handed out the UPAE Lifetime Achievement Award to Prof. Emeritus Glen Tabios of Civil Engineering.
Bert Mendoza, Chairman of the Tau Alpha Foundation, gave the Haligi ng Engineering Award to Mark Alelojo.
Rel and Glen are UPERDI Trustees, and Bert a regular member.
