Capitol Steel Corporation, represented by Executive Vice President Berck Y. Cheng, signed the Memorandum of Agreement with UPERDFI President Lito Bermumdo and UPCOE Dean Tonette Tanchuling for the Capitol Steel Scholarship Program. The ceremony was held on July 3 at the National Engineering Center. Mr. Cheng was accompanied by CSC VP for HR Maricar Buenaventura and three engineers who are UP Engineering alumni. UPERDFI ED Tito Aliga, Associate Dean for Student Affairs Kate Tungpalan, Associate Dean for Institutional Linkages and Alumni Affairs Eric Tingatinga, EEEI Director Lew Tria also joined the event.
The scholarship will support four seniors coming from the BS Industrial Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering and BS Mechanical Engineering programs and CSC will also offer internship opportunities.
